1. Agreement and Eligibility

By accessing or using TubeNotes, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and store your personal data. If you do not agree to these terms or our Privacy Policy, do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years of age to use TubeNotes. TubeNotes is operated by Wandering Bots Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

2. Service Description

TubeNotes is an AI-powered YouTube video summarization service. You submit a YouTube video URL and our system generates a structured summary using artificial intelligence. The service operates on a credit-based model for paid users and a daily limit for free users. We aim to build a reliable, transparent tool that helps you learn faster.

3. Account Registration

You may create an account using email and password or via OAuth (e.g., Google sign-in). You are limited to one account per person. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately at support@tubenotes.io.

4. Free Tier

TubeNotes offers a free tier that allows 1 summary per day. No account is required to use the free tier. Please note that summaries generated without an account are publicly accessible and are not private. Public summaries may be indexed by search engines, cached by third-party services, or accessed by other users. We are not responsible for how third parties index, cache, or use publicly accessible summaries.

5. Paid Subscriptions and Payments

TubeNotes offers paid subscription plans that provide a monthly allocation of credits:

• Starter: 150 credits per month — $9/month or $79/year.
• Pro: 500 credits per month — $29/month or $249/year.

Credits are consumed when you generate summaries, with the cost varying based on video length and summary type. Credit costs are determined at our discretion and may be adjusted from time to time. We are not liable for discrepancies between estimated and actual credit consumption. Credits reset at the start of each billing period and do not roll over.

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period. Applicable taxes (including VAT) may be added to the prices shown and are your responsibility. We are not responsible for errors, delays, or failures caused by Stripe or any other third-party payment processor.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which you may cancel your subscription for a full refund. After the 14-day cooling-off period, you may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period. 7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use TubeNotes for any of the following:

• Automated scraping, bot access, or programmatic use of the service without prior written permission.
• Reselling, redistributing, or commercially exploiting generated summaries as a competing service.
• Circumventing rate limits, credit restrictions, or other technical safeguards.
• Processing content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable.
• Attempting to extract system prompts, reverse-engineer the AI pipeline, or exploit the service in any unintended way.

8. Fair Use and Usage Limits

We reserve the right to implement rate limits, technical protections, and usage caps to ensure fair access to TubeNotes for all users. These measures may include limits on API requests, concurrent sessions, or summary generation frequency beyond your plan's credit allocation. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you if your usage is affected by these limits.

9. AI-Generated Content

Summaries produced by TubeNotes are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. Summaries are not a substitute for watching the original video content. You are solely responsible for how you use the summaries generated by the service. The original video content remains the intellectual property of its respective creators and rights holders.

Summaries must not be relied upon for medical decisions, legal advice, financial investment decisions, or any other high-stakes context where inaccuracies could cause harm. TubeNotes is an informational tool, not a professional advisory service.

10. Intellectual Property and Summary Usage Rights

TubeNotes, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Wandering Bots Ltd. You retain all rights to any custom prompts you create.

Summaries generated by the service are licensed to you under the following terms:

• Personal use: Yes — notes, study, reference, personal archives.
• Commercial use in non-competing content: Yes — you may use summaries in your own newsletters, blog posts, reports, presentations, or other original works.
• Reselling or redistributing summaries as a service: No — you may not republish, resell, or redistribute summaries as part of a competing summarisation product or service.
• Programmatic or bulk redistribution: No — you may not use the service to generate summaries for automated redistribution, SEO farms, or content scraping operations.

11. YouTube Compliance

TubeNotes accesses publicly available YouTube video data (transcripts and metadata). Users must comply with the YouTube Terms of Service. TubeNotes does not host, store, or redistribute any video or audio content from YouTube.

12. Service Modifications

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, including features, integrations, credit costs, or supported content types. Where reasonably possible, we will provide advance notice of material changes. Continued use of TubeNotes after a modification constitutes acceptance of the change.

13. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service or if your account is used for abusive, fraudulent, or harmful activity. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before suspension unless immediate action is required to protect the service or other users. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@tubenotes.io.

Upon account deletion or termination, your summaries and associated data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Stripe payment records may be retained as required for financial compliance and dispute resolution.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TubeNotes is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales.

15. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these terms where such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, failures of third-party services (including YouTube, AI providers, cloud hosting, or payment processors), internet outages, power failures, or cyberattacks. We will make reasonable efforts to resume the service as soon as practicable.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence that cannot be overridden by contract.

In the event of a dispute, you agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally by contacting us at legal@tubenotes.io. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of TubeNotes after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the service before they take effect.
